“One of my concerns when looking at commissioning a portrait of our first dog was the artist’s ability to capture both the likeness and his character without having met him. I deliberated for a couple of months over finding the right photo to send Felicity, I needn’t have worried. Felicity worked with us to choose both the correct photo and background and took the time to ask a few questions about Archie’s character in order to help her draw him.
My poor camera work wasn’t an issue as she was able to look at several photos to capture him PERFECTLY.
Like any dog owner, Archie and I have a special bond and we know each other inside out. When I look at the finished product, quite simply, I see my boy. We all know that the only bad thing about a dog is that they’re not around long enough, I can’t say how much I will cherish this piece, forever. The progress updates on social media and unboxing experience only added to the special nature of this process and (quite frankly) I’d happily pay twice what I did now I know what Felicity’s capable of. If you’re wondering whether or not to get a portrait done then I can tell you quite confidently that you will not regret it for a second. Thank you Felicity.”
